Welcome

Who’s that guy?

Hi, my name is Martin. I am .Net developer with 2 years’ experience. Personally I’m fan of Clean Code and my mission here, is to convince you that Clean Code and following good practices is way to go. We will also learn the newest and most desirable technologies. When I’m not programming, I’m playing games and get to know lore of every possible universe (it’s impossible). I value story the most, so I’m not limiting myself only to games.

Why are we here?

I decided to start blogging so that I can share the solution for problems that I have encountered for 2 years and maybe find answers to your dilemmas. In my opinion experience isn’t counted in years, but in solved problems. That way we can progress faster. At the same time, I’ll try to sneak good practices so you’ll be able to see it in action.

What should you expect?

Development, I want to help you grow as a better software engineer and at the same time become one. The best way to learn is to teach others. I’m not mentor thou, I love discussions and wait for opportunities to learn from you.

If you are…

… ambitious person, who want to become specialist in near future, it’s place for you. You can surround yourself with like-minded people here and learn from their experience.

How can you get involved?

First of all I’m waiting for your comments. If you don’t agree, don’t hesitate to give your feedback. If you like it, tell me about it and share with your friends. Finally if you have questions ask them here or privately. I’m available on LinkedIn or by email martin.bialkowski@progressdesire.com

What’s in it for me?

Just like you, I want to learn, and it is the quickest way. Instead of looking for new stuff to learn, have people who can inform me about new trends. Finally to create place where we can meet and discuss newest technologies and maybe game lore from time to time.

Outro

Not to leave you empty handed I’d like to share access to my knowledge repository, PublicShowProject. If you’re Github guy, then check it here. Feel free to check it out and ask questions. Next entries will cover process of “rewriting” my Spike with explanation. You will learn .Net Core 2.1 Web API, SOLID, EF Core, REST, Testing, how to protect your API, Docker and more. All of that with good practices. I hope I convinced you to check my next posts, which will be released every Friday. Next time we’ll start REST API.
